About Me

Hi!
I come from a long line of teachers. My grandmother was an elementary school teacher, my mom was a middle school teacher, and I became a high school social studies teacher. I even married a high school history teacher! Teaching is definitely in my blood!

My first love was U.S. History thanks to an awesome 8th grade teacher, Mr. Cheeseman. He made history come alive for me. For a long time, my least favorite subject was World History. Then, I took a job where all my preps were World History. Yikes! As I delved into the material, I decided that I could make World History fun and interactive for my students. It quickly became my favorite subject! I still like U.S. History, Civics, and Geography, but if I had the opportunity to chose my preps, I'd gladly teach all World History.

I am currently a stay at home mom with two great kids and a wonderful husband who works extremely hard at a local high school as a teacher, testing coordinator, basketball coach, and driver's education instructor. Many of my posts are inspired by his recent experiences and occasionally, I even let him write a post! He very nicely lets me use his classes as guinea pigs for some of my resource ideas and products- you should have seen his first reaction to my doodle/graphic notes! If you like the PowerPoints I include with my doodle/graphic notes, thank my husband! He insisted I added them :)

I truly have the best job in the world. I love creating resources for hardworking and overworked teachers.
